Sherman G. Lord, Au.D.
Vice President
Sherman Lord has over thirty years' experience in the audiology field, first as a clinical audiologist and for the past twenty-five years in the special equipment distribution industry. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, Board Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology and the Acoustical Society of America. As a clinical audiologist, he provided supervision to audiology graduate students from several university training programs. He served on the boards of the Pennsylvania-Speech-Language Hearing Association and Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology. Dr. Lord has been a Past President of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology and the National Association of Special Equipment Distributors (NASED). In addition, Dr. Lord was an adjunct faculty member in the Communication Disorders Department at the College of New Jersey and currently is an adjunct faculty member in the George S. Osborne College of Audiology at Salus University.

Joe Quartuccio
Vice President
Joe Quartuccio has been in the special equipment industry since 1978, and has owned his own special equipment distributorship, Northeastern Instrumentation, prior to the formation of Northeastern Technologies Group. Joe has extensive experience in sound room design, space allocation and computer aided drawing/design capability. His clinical experience has heretofore focused on industrial hearing conservation; and he owns a company , EarCare, Inc. that produces acoustically transparent ear disposable ear cushions for audiometric headphones. He has served on the Executive Board of NASED.

Chuck Comitto
Vice President
Chuck Comitto has been in the equipment industry since 1968, initially starting in a hearing aid repair capacity. He then moved into the special instruments field working for Madsen Electromedics which was the American distribution arm of Madsen Denmark. He left that position in 1975 and worked for a SID (Guinta Associates ) in the sales capacity and eventually became VP of sales. In 1991 he left and formed Northeastern Technologies Group, Inc. with Barbara Kurman and Joseph Quartuccio. In 2001 Midlantic Technologies Group, LLC was formed with Barbara, Joe, Chuck, and Sherman Lord as managing members. Chuck has a BS in business and he brings a strong background in electrical engineering, sales and calibration/technical services and business administration. Chuck served as the first President of NASED (National Association of Special Equipment Distributors). He has provided extensive technical support to numerous Ph.D. doctoral thesis/dissertation and research projects.

Barbara L. Kurman, Au.D.
Vice President
Barbara Kurman, Au.D. has been a clinical audiologist since 1978. Dr. Kurman is Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is a member of their Board of Governors, and is Certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She served as a clinician, clinical supervisor and coordinator in a major metropolitan medical center before joining a special equipment distributor company in 1982. She served as the Director of Marketing for VTA Management, a rehabilitation therapy company, prior to the formation of Northeastern Technologies Group. She has also served as President of the Metropolitan Audiology Study Group, Co-Chair of the New York State Speech Language Hearing Association (NYSSLHA) Convention, served on the Board of NYSSLHA, and is a Past President of NASED and served on its Executive Board. Dr. Kurman has been awarded the 2009 Distinguished Service Award by the New York State Speech Language and Hearing Association. She has co-authored several articles and chapters of text books related to instrumentation in the audiology field.
